This Privacy Policy explains how AppHelpMe ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use AppHelpMe VPS, including the Android application with package name com.apphelpme.vps (the "App").

AppHelpMe VPS is a server-administration utility. It connects directly to a Virtual Private Server ("VPS") selected and controlled by you. The App does not require an AppHelpMe account and does not upload your saved VPS list or VPS credentials to an AppHelpMe-operated cloud service.

1. Information the App Handles

The App may access, process, and store the following information when you provide it or create it through an App feature:

  • VPS connection information: a display name, IP address or hostname, SSH port, username, and root password.
  • SOCKS5 information: proxy host, port, username, and password generated or managed at your request.
  • WireGuard information: client name, address, remote configuration path, and configuration or QR-code content when you request the App to read, display, export, or share it.
  • App preferences: selected language and other local interface settings.
  • Local activation information: a randomly generated local code and activation status. This code is not derived from a hardware identifier, advertising identifier, phone number, or account.
  • Operational information: commands and command output displayed while you administer your VPS.
  • Files selected or created by you: VPS backup files, account exports, and WireGuard exports.

VPS records and App preferences are stored in the App's local storage on your device. Root passwords are stored in protected form in the local database. Some exported data, such as SOCKS5 credentials or WireGuard configuration files, is readable by design so that it can be used by the destination software. Treat all exports as sensitive.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The current version of the App does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not request your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, call logs, SMS messages, advertising ID, IMEI, IMSI, or installed-app inventory.

We do not receive or have access to the VPS information and credentials stored in the App unless you intentionally send that information to us, for example as part of a support request.

3. How Information Is Used

The App uses the information described above only to provide features requested by you, including:

  • connecting to a VPS through SSH;
  • checking server status and displaying command output;
  • installing, configuring, checking, or removing SOCKS5 and WireGuard components;
  • managing local VPS, proxy-account, and WireGuard history;
  • creating, importing, restoring, exporting, copying, or sharing files and configuration information;
  • remembering your language and local feature settings; and
  • validating a local activation key in eligible non-store builds.

We do not sell personal or sensitive information. We do not use VPS credentials, proxy credentials, WireGuard data, or App activity for advertising, profiling, or behavioral analytics.

4. Network Connections and Third Parties

Your VPS

When you start a connection or server action, the App opens an encrypted SSH connection directly from your device to the IP address or hostname you entered. The VPS provider and network operators involved in that connection may process technical information under their own terms and privacy policies. AppHelpMe does not control those providers.

The App executes commands on your VPS only when you request the related function. Those commands can change server configuration, create accounts, install software, or remove selected server resources.

Services contacted by your VPS

Some commands executed on your VPS may contact:

  • a public IP lookup service, currently api.ipify.org, to determine the VPS public IP address; and
  • operating-system or software repositories used by your VPS to download and update server packages.

These requests originate from your VPS. Those service providers may receive the VPS IP address and standard network request information according to their own privacy policies.

File picker and share sheet

When you import a backup, the App uses the operating system's file picker. When you export or share a backup, proxy list, or WireGuard configuration, the App uses the operating system's share interface. Information is sent to the destination app or service only after you choose that destination. The destination's privacy policy then applies.

5. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Local App data remains on your device until one of the following occurs:

  • you delete the relevant VPS, proxy, or WireGuard record using an available App control;
  • you clear the App's storage in the operating-system settings; or
  • you uninstall the App.

Files that you export, save, or share may remain in another folder, app, device, backup system, or service after App data is cleared. You must delete those copies from the relevant destination yourself.

Uninstalling the App or deleting a local VPS record does not automatically reverse changes made on your VPS. Server packages, user accounts, proxy credentials, WireGuard clients, logs, and configuration files may remain on the VPS until you remove them from that server.

The App does not provide online account creation, so there is no AppHelpMe server-side user account associated with the App that requires an account-deletion request.

If you voluntarily send information to AppHelpMe for support, we may retain it only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain security, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Avoid sending passwords, private configuration files, or other secrets in support messages.

6. Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the current App design, including:

  • encrypted SSH transport between the App and the VPS;
  • protected local storage of root passwords in the App database;
  • no automatic upload of the local VPS database to an AppHelpMe cloud server; and
  • user-initiated file selection and sharing.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. A person who controls an unlocked, rooted, compromised, or backed-up device may be able to access local or exported data. You are responsible for securing your device, VPS accounts, VPS provider account, passwords, exported files, and any app or service with which you share information.

7. Your Choices and Controls

You may:

  • use the App without saving a VPS password where the feature permits;
  • delete VPS and related records through available App controls;
  • delete exported or shared files from their destination;
  • clear all local App data through operating-system settings;
  • uninstall the App; and
  • stop using the App at any time.

You control which VPS the App connects to and which commands or export actions you initiate.

8. Children's Privacy

AppHelpMe VPS is a technical server-administration tool intended for users capable of administering computer systems. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has intentionally sent personal information to AppHelpMe in a support request, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.

9. International Processing

The App itself does not upload its local database to AppHelpMe. However, your chosen VPS, VPS provider, network operator, software repository, share destination, or support service may process information in countries other than your own. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to that processing.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, dependencies, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will update the date at the top of the policy and publish the current version at:
